International Workshop on Nonlinear Analysis and Applications to Economics

Dedicated to Professor Dušan Repovš on his 60th birthday

25 September 2014, University of Craiova

Description
Nonlinear analysis is nowadays one of the most collaborative and active scientific research fields as it has been increasingly involving the participation of experts from other disciplines. The aim of this Workshop on Applied Nonlinear Analysis is to present some successful achievements in this rapidly collaborative field, in strong relationship with relevant models in Economics. The Workshop is dedicated to Professor Dušan Repovš (University of Ljubljana) on his 60th birthday and for his honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Craiova.

For the promotion of the Slovenian science abroad, Professor Dušan Repovš received in 1995 the honorary title of Ambassador for Science of the Republic of Slovenia. In 1996, Professor Dušan Repovš was elected to Engineering Academy of Slovenia. He was awarded in 2009 the Bogolyubov Memorial Medal by the Ukrainian Mathematical Congress in Kiev and in 1997 the Prize of the Republic of Slovenia for Research (now called the Zois Prize). Since 2004, Professor Dušan Repovš is a member of the European Academy of Sciences. He is also a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Mathematical Society, the European Mathematical Society, the London Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Society of Japan, the Moscow Mathematical Society, the French Mathematical Society, the Swiss Mathematical Society, and others. He is also a member of the Slovenian Engineering Academy.
